Lior Herchkovitz is a fine art photographer who lives and works in Tel Aviv, Israel. He graduated from The Royal Academy of Art in The Hague, The Netherlands. His artwork has been exhibited widely including in museums, galleries, art fairs, and photo festivals, among them - Tel Aviv Museum of Art, Muza Eretz Israel Museum, Mact / Cact Museo & Centro Arte Contemporanea Switzerland, Landeshaus Cologne, Museo de Arte de la Universidad Nacional, Bogotá, Foto Festival Naarden to name a few. His works are included in the Tel Aviv Museum of Art collection and in private collections in Israel and Europe.
Lior Herchkovitz's work explores his fascination with the human condition, human intervention in nature, and the undercurrent emotions it evokes. Whether photographing a landscape or a portrait, he creates types of images to express a rich language of subtle meanings. Herchkovitz challenges the existing perceptible differences between the surface appearances and underlying psychological content. Through his work, he delves into the intricacies of life, raising questions about concealed depths of ambivalence, vulnerability, and fragility in our existence.
